Glad you finally have power.  You had a much longer wait than most!

yeah!  I would have never survived 6 days.  Now, is DTE going to discount your lack of power off your bill?  Were you the last to get power on your street?

I know that $25.00 is better than a sharp stick in the eye!  BUT, REALLY DTE!!!  It should be $25.00 PER DAY!  And one wonders why "monopolies" suck!

Husband went out to get gas.  Several stations closed.  And several restaurants closed too.

Counting our lucky stars here. This is the third major storm we did NOT lose power.
We used to lose it if a dog raised a leg.
So whatever effected our old area in the past, appears it is now more resilient.
My empathy , there is a lot of people here and all around with out power .
300K , 1200 lines down.
We lost a work day today, non issue in compare to others.
A lot of trees down, and dark blocks near us.
Best of luck DTE, weather does not look work happy for a while.

Power is out downtown:

Soonest estimate is that it will be restored by 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, which means an outage of at least 24 hours.

I saw some 123Net (business fiber) people installing lines in the tunnels at 4th & Main, I wonder if they tripped something?

I am betting that downtown will be more out than on while the digging is going on.  13 and Woodward was flickering off and on last fall into winter.
