Norification when a user is directly mentioned
« on: March 07, 2016, 06:41:36 AM »

I have a suggestion.  Is it possible to have an e-mail/notification sent when someone specifically mentions a user in a message?  An example is this:

XYZ do you know where to find a good place to eat around here?

Then the poster would be given the option to inform XYZ, that some has posted a message asking them a question?  It would like a quazi-private message.  There is a lot of institutional knowledge here and the discussion of questions may benefit all.

Don't know how difficult this may be to set up.
Cry me a river, build yourself a bridge and get over it.

There are currently no provisions to be able to do this. I'll keep an eye out because new versions of the forum software sometimes bring new available features.
